Pride of the Eastside: Fire Station #4

As you approach the intersection of Old Alabama Road and Market Boulevard, expect to see the “Pride of the Eastside” in all its glory. The newly constructed Roswell Fire Station #4 is absolutely breathtaking.

Many gathered as Mayor Jere Wood, Council, state officials and Fire Chief Ricky Burnette dedicated the newest home for Roswell’s firefighters, April 27. It was an intimate ceremony, allowing community members to walk the halls and living quarters of the 15,000-square-foot station situated on its three acres.

Families gazed in awe as the station took its first call for service, prompting red lights from the building illuminating across the night’s sky. The red lights, the signal that brave firemen and firewomen are out protecting the citizens of Roswell, is a subtle reminder of all the new fire station really means to the community.

Not only is the station a work of art, but it bears its own work of art right on the front lawn. A “bucket brigade”, carefully and thoughtfully constructed, catches your eye as you pass the new station.

Roswell’s new fire station epitomizes class, dignity and bravery: perfect home for Roswell’s brave and bold.
