Roswell Celebrates Completion of Goulding Place Permeable Paver Project

The City of Roswell will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Goulding Place Permeable Paver project, a storm water demonstration project constructed to mitigate storm water ponding, improve water quality and to promote infiltration through the use of porous pavers. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Sep. 5, at 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Goulding Place and Canton Street.

The project encompasses approximately 650 feet of permeable pavers and dates back to 2015, when a partnership between the City of Roswell and the homeowners of Goulding Place was formed. The project was completed in August 2017 and cost approximately $350,000, funded by the City of Roswell Stormwater Utility and residents of Goulding Place.

“From its earliest stages, this project was a neighborhood driven public-private partnership. It demonstrates that Roswell citizens, staff, engineers, and contractors can work together through obstacles and dramatically improve a complex stormwater issue,” said Dan Skalsky, Environmental/Public Works Director of the project.
