East Alley Pathway Improvement Project to Break Ground

The City of Roswell will break ground on the East Alley Pathway Improvement Project, Sep. 26, 2017 at 9 a.m.

The project will open opportunities for business entrances in the alley, unique destinations for shopping and dining, enhanced landscape features and inclusion of public art. Improvements will upgrade outdated infrastructure, efficient waste disposal, add new lighting and implement environment-friendly infrastructure elements.
The project is being funded by the City of Roswell and a grant from the Environmental Protection Division.

The project is expected to take approximately seven months and will have road closures behind businesses that front Canton Street, Elizabeth Way and Alpharetta Street. Construction will take place during day light hours and some special requested hours overnight and weekends so as to accommodate utility relocation. It is expected to begin around Oct. 1, 2017.

Parking for the ground breaking is at the City Hall parking lot, in the West Alley off Canton Street, and at the Southern Skillet parking lot. East alley is located at 947-949 Alpharetta Street in Roswell.
