Comments Sought on City of Roswell 2016 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Local Solicitation

City of Roswell residents are invited to comment on a 2016 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) application. Grant funds may be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, information systems for criminal justice, and criminal justice-related research and evaluation activities that will improve or enhance Law Enforcement programs.

If awarded, this $11,532 grant will help the City of Roswell pay for the licensing of specialized Public Safety software that enables complaints, use-of-force reports, and pursuits to be entered and managed by field personnel in a straightforward manner. This supports the Roswell Police Department’s early intervention program through efficient tracking of statistical information and ensures critical incidents are documented, reviewed and managed with consistency and completeness.

The deadline to submit comments on the proposed project is Monday, June 20, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Details of this grant application are available by selecting the link below.
