Project Summary

City Green Rendering.jpgOn April 11, 2016, Mayor and City Council approved the City Green Master Plan and gave notice to proceed with developing construction plans for Phase One of the City Green project.

The City Green project will create an active community gathering space on the City Hall campus. The project will reinforce the historic downtown as a walkable district and is seen as an economic catalyst with the potential to stimulate additional reinvestment in the surrounding area.

One of the goals of the master plan is to provide strong connectivity between the City's municipal complex, the Heart of Roswell Park, Canton Street, and adjacent residential and commercial areas in Roswell’s historic district.

The Executive Summary document below provides you with an introduction to the project, describes the vision and goals, and discussions about the design elements, site programming, and implementation considerations. The graphic of the overall City Green Master Plan is below.

The City is proceeding with developing the construction plans for Phase One of the master plan. The graphic illustrating the Phase One area is below. The consultant firm will be working with the city from May 2016 until April 2017 to refine and finalize the plans. There will be multiple in-progress meetings with City Council, the Recreation Commission, and the Historic Preservation Commission. For project schedule updates, please see the most recent presentations or attend one of the meetings.
