Document Management System (DMS)
The City of Roswell maintains historical and current records (files) on all parcels. The files are digitized (scanned) after completion of the review process. The digital files are stored on a server for retrieval at a later time and the hardcopy is stored separately. Each document is indexed with various data when scanned including the Parcel Identification Number (PIN) and street address.

Examples of files that are available include Permits (Building, Electrical, Grading, Plumbing, etc.), historical Fulton County records, Soil Erosion Bonds, Stormwater Management Agreements, Easements, Stream Buffer Averaging Requests (SBA), Roswell Board of Zoning Appeals (RBZA), Zoning Confirmation Letters, Historical Preservation Commission (HPC), Combination Plats, Preliminary Plats, Final Plats, Division Plats, Annexations, Subdivision Plats, Exception Plats, Hydrology Reports, Design Review Board (DRB), and Rezonings.

Engineering Drawings and Building Plans are also available. These files can contain documents including Applications, Correspondence, Drawings, Meeting Minutes, Reports, and Photos.

The goal behind the DMS is the ability to retrieve the complete history of a feature (e.g. parcel, road, building) by searching on a PIN and/or street address.
