The Park RX program is increasing active programming and events for those who play, live and learn in the Roswell Community. The Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department is offering health and wellness providers with a new way to inspire patients to improve their health. Park Rx aims to increase positive changes in behavior and attitudes towards health improvement through the prescription of nature to increase physical activity and nutrition education. Zagster Bike Sharing Station
The City of Roswell is excited to announce a new bike-sharing program at Big Creek Park on Old Alabama Road. The Zagster bike-sharing program allows visitors to the park to use cruiser bikes for local trips on the Big Creek Greenway or anywhere locally, as long as the bike is returned to a Zagster station. Bike trips under three hours are free. After three hours, riders will be charged $3/hour for non-members or $2/hour for members ($20 annual membership). Hikes Hosted by Atlanta Outdoor Club
6 miles, 2 hour hike every Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Leita Thompson Park. A beautiful hike that includes three trails: the yellow trail (1.12 miles), blue trail (2 miles), and the red trail (2.25 miles). The red and blue trails offer a .25-mile extension around the lake. This is excellent for the more experienced hikers who want to enjoy nature and stay fit. Sign up for free membership on Atlanta Outdoor Club and register for weekly event.
Walk With Ease Program
Made possible through an NRPA grant, this FREE program helps participants improve their health while also getting active and social within their community. Learn more!
Free Fitness in the Park
Join us for our free group exercise classes with Fitness in the Park! All classes are weather-permitting and open to the public. Please check the City of Roswell's Facebook page for any cancellations due to weather.

Family Music and Wellness Expo

This event is free.
Come and join us at Riverside Park for our 2nd Annual Family Music, Health, and Wellness Expo. Various vendors from around the community will offer health and wellness services. Chiropractors, physical therapists, dentists, health insurance companies, rehabilitation devices services, hospitals, wellness grocery stores, and many more vendors will be onsite to answer questions and showcase their services. We will also be offering free screenings for blood pressure and more. Face painters and inflatables will be on hand to entertain the kids. We will be showcasing local artists in the area, and will have fitness demonstrations throughout the morning. So come out and enjoy this fun-filled day. Door prizes will be given away.

Whole Kids Foundation Educational Farm

This interactive camp in partnership with the Whole Kids Foundation Educational Farm teaches the campers about healthy living. Campers will work in the foundations farm and make part of their lunches with the healthy harvested vegetables each day. Lunch and snack is provided daily and a nutritionist will work with the campers to prepare their food and to learn about healthy eating. Campers will participate in farming, food preparation, Yoga, arts & crafts and fitness fun classes. Don't miss out on this interactive, educational and fun Camp!

This interactive camp in partnership with Sprouts Farmers Market teaches the campers about healthy living. Campers will participate in farming, arts & crafts, Yoga, tree climbing, fitness fun classes, balance skills using land equipment and a paddle board. The campers will visit the Chattahoochee Nature Center gardens. Campers learn hands on what it takes to bring vegetables to the table. The campers will go to Art Center West for tree climbing and pottery, and Sprouts Farmers Market for a fun event. Lunch and snack is provided daily and a healthy living Chef will work with the campers to prepare their food and to learn about healthy eating.
