Roswell Adult Aquatics Center (RAAC)
830 Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell, GA, 30075
Opened in spring 2016, the Roswell Adult Aquatics Center (RAAC) is the latest enhancement to the City’s Adult Recreation Center, which opened in 2000 and gained a full-size fitness center in 2012.
The Aquatics Center is designed to provide new therapeutic and recreational opportunities to those 50+ and special needs populations in Roswell.>
With its ability to reduce joint stress and provide resistance and assistance to movement, swimming is the most popular exercise among the 50+ population. Research also shows that aquatic therapy for individuals with special needs improves fitness skills, fosters social skills, and allows the individual to develop a life‐long leisure skill. The 12,000-square-foot facility will provide an unparalleled experience with its five-lane warm water therapeutic swimming pool, zero-depth entry, therapeutic whirlpool and shower facilities.
Members must be 50 years or older to participate in programs at the RAAC.
