Protect Youth Sports Dear Youth Volunteer:

In an effort to promote the highest level of safety to the youth participants of our programs, the Roswell Recreation Commission has created a new policy making national criminal background checks mandatory for our volunteers in youth athletics. Most of you know that we have been doing a Georgia criminal background check on volunteers but now one will be performed nationally. We will continue to do a separate background check for Georgia due to the fact that Georgia is not one of the states included in the national background screening process.

We have chosen a company called Protect Youth Sports for these background checks and have worked out a deal for you to fill out the form online simply by clicking the link below. If you would like, they encourage you to visit their website and check out their security system at www.protectyouthsports.com.

If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Athletic Services Manager, Steven Malone at smalone@roswellgov.com or 770-594-6187.

The failure of a volunteer to undergo this mandatory national background check will result in their disqualification as a volunteer in our youth sports programs.
