MARTA - Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority

Residents in the City of Roswell are served by two MARTA bus routes. Here are a few facts about the two routes. For further information, click on the links below.
  • Route 85 (Roswell/ Mansell Rd) starts at the MARTA North Springs rail station, travels along Atlanta Street (SR 9) from the Chattahoochee River, past City Hall, through the Holcomb Bridge Road/Crossville Road (SR 140/92) intersection, turns right on Mansell Road and terminates at the MARTA Park/Ride lot at the Mansell Road/SR 400 interchange.
  • Route 185 (Alpharetta/Holcomb Bridge Rd) starts at the MARTA North Springs rail station, exits SR 400 at Holcomb Bridge Road (SR 140) and continues west on Holcomb Bridge turning north on Alpharetta Highway (SR 9/120) into Alpharetta, turns right on Old Milton Parkway traveling east to Brookside Parkway where it loops to serve the Georgia State Alpharetta Campus. During peak hours, the route exits SR 400 and heads east on Holcomb Bridge Road, then turns right on Market Way, left on Market Boulevard, and left on Holcomb Bridge Road returning to its original route.
  • Both bus routes operate on 30-minute headways during peak commuting hours on weekdays and 40-minutes at all other times. Service is provided every day from approximately 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM.

The closest Park and Ride lot is the Mansell Road Park/Ride lot. The lot is located in the southwest quadrant of the Mansell Road/SR 400 interchange and has 418 parking spaces.
