The purpose of this project is to construct a multi-use trail along Hardscrabble Road connecting Roswell High School to Sweet Apple Elementary School. This project will also include several intersection improvements, including a possible roundabout at Hardscrabble Road and Chaffin (east) Road. This concept is part of a larger bicycle and pedestrian system called the Roswell Loop. This project is jointly funded by the City of Roswell and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The City of Roswell is managing this project and has hired a consultant team led by Reynolds, Smith and Hills (RS&H).

As of March 2012, the concept design is complete and preliminary engineering has begun. The second Public Information Open House (PIOH) was held on February 2, 2012 at Sweet Apple ES. The project received overwhelming support.

As of April 2016, right-of-way acquisition is currently underway. Construction is estimated to begin Summer 2017.
