Professional portrait or scenic photography on the grounds of Roswell's Historic House Museums requires a City of Roswell photography permit and an appointment. Photography to be used by the photographer for solely personal and/or noncommercial purposes does not require a permit.

A City of Roswell photography permit may be acquired from the Roswell Community Development Department here.



Photographers with a valid City of Roswell photography permit must book an appointment at least ninety-six (96) hours in advance to use the grounds. Photographers will be asked for their permit number and are required to have a copy of the permit on site at all times. Volunteering at Roswell Historic Houses and Gardens can be an enriching experience that enables individuals to become stewards of our cultural heritage. We offer a chance for volunteers to educate, inspire, and contribute to the preservation of Roswell's history, making it a deeply rewarding endeavor for history buffs and community-minded individuals alike.

Volunteers will be provided with training. Volunteer hours are flexible and based on your availability.
