Ron Sherman, a nationally recognized and local photographer whose work will be on display at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center starting in August. Ron's photographs have been published in national magazines ranging from Time, Life, and Newsweek to Business Week, Forbes and Sports Illustrated. His photos are iconic and document the American experience since the 1960s. Ron Sherman took the famous photo of Hank Aaron's 715th home run.
Ron Sherman served in Vietnam. After graduating from RIT, Sherman volunteered to serve in the Vietnam War. His photography helped American soldiers gain a better understanding of the layout of missions they were entering. Military commanders used his photos to gain knowledge about their surroundings.
He has won numerous awards, he has work in the Baseball Hall of Fame and in 2022, and Emory University acquired his entire library of work to ensure it is preserved and available to the public. Come enjoy this spectacular display of art and nostalgia.

Photographer Ron Sherman offers a multimedia presentation covering his sixty years as a professional photographer. Using images from his illustrious career, Mr. Sherman will highlight early work and a variety of subjects, including editorial/photojournalism, corporate, education, multimedia, computer imaging, and stock images - and discuss his inspiration and artist's process.
