It is a tremendous honor to serve as the Fire Chief for the City of Roswell. The mission of the Roswell Fire Department is to protect life, property, and enhance the quality of life by providing dynamic services, including emergency response and community risk reduction activities.The Department comprises 77 full-time Firefighters, Lieutenants, Captains, Chief Officers, and support staff. Additionally, our deployment model consists of approximately 116 part-time Firefighters, most of whom work full-time at one of the more than 23 fire departments in the Metro Atlanta area. We endeavor to exceed expectations through continuous self-evaluation and the implementation of industry best practices. To that end, the Department underwent a professional GAP analysis (where we are now and where we need/want to be). This agency evaluation included an analysis of our staffing model, service delivery, and personnel management. The project culminated in the fall of 2022 with the Department's 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.

Transition to Full-Time Staffing Model
To better serve its growing community, the City of Roswell will transition the Roswell Fire Department over the next five years from a staffing model that has relied on part-time employees to one that will be staffed entirely by full-time employees.Roswell Fire Department Strategic Plan

Fire/EMS Incident Reports
Incident reports can be acquired by submitting a Fire/EMS open records request using the form available on the JustFOIA website.Note: Under the Georgia Open Records Act, all public records are available for inspection and copying unless they are specifically exempted from disclosure under the law. Please be advised that certain records are not releasable under Open Records due to cases being Active/Pending Investigation/Pending Prosecution or incidents with juveniles involved.
Safe Kids North Fulton
Certified child passenger safety technicians from all three agencies of Safe Kids North Fulton conduct car seat education weekly. Technicians will demonstrate and educate parents and caregivers on the proper installation of the child restraint.Public Fire Safety
Roswell offers fire safety classes to any public or private school, day care center, church, business, or civic group and teaches fire safety tips in the Roswell Fire Safety Trailer.Roswell Community First Aid Classes
The Roswell Fire Department hosts periodic emergency training throughout the year covering a variety of topics including first aid, CPR, and aiding bleeding victims. The classes are ideal for schools and students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life.Resources
