Overview

The Roswell Water Utility is proud to serve approximately 5,600 customers. The City operates the Roswell Water Treatment Plant, which is capable of producing 3.3 million gallons of water per day and maintains 89 miles of distribution waterline mains in order to get the highest quality water delivered to the customer.

The City has been the recipient, for 5 years in a row, of the Gold Award which is given by the Georgia section of the American Water Works Association to treatment plants which meet above all of the state standards for water production. Because of this continual quality, the City was awarded the Platinum award in 2023.

Customers not served by the Roswell Water Utility receive their water service through the Fulton County Water System.

Source Water Assessment Plan

In June 2017, the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District (MNGWPD) adopted a Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP) that requires local water providers to develop a water protection plan and identify potential sources of contamination to the drinking water supply. This document, the Source Water Assessment Plan (SWAP) for the City of Roswell Water Utility Division, provides information related to this plan including, but not limited to:
  1. Watershed area for the City of Roswell drinking water source
  2. Inventory of potential sources of contamination Assessment results and ways in which the public is educated about water protection.
For more information regarding the SWAP for the City of Roswell Water Utility Division, please contact Jessie Cash, Water Operations Manager, at jcash@roswellgov.com or 770-641-3816.
