2022 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG)

Amount: $22,606 from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)
Description: The City of Roswell Police Department committed these funds to purchasing traffic analyzers, motorcycle trailer, and SWAT optics.

2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

Amount: $499,653 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Description: The City committed these funds to the Maxwell Rd. and Rocky Creek Waterline Replacement project. The waterline replacement project will benefit low-income families.

2022 Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus (CDBG-CV)

Amount: $115,472 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Description: The City committed these funds to afterschool scholarships at the Roswell Child Development Academy. The CDBG-CV project will benefit low-income families.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program Grant

Amount: $721,321 from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Description: The City, in partnership with the North Georgia Community Housing Development Corporation (Habitat for Humanity), used this grant to acquire, rehabilitate, and resell six foreclosed properties (240 Mill Creek Place,1056 Old Holcomb Bridge Road, 221 High Creek Drive, 122 Holcomb Ferry Road, 154 Holcomb Ferry Road, and 990 Singing Hills) in Roswell.

2022 Improving Neighborhood Outcomes in Disproportionately Impacted Communities Grant

Amount: $2,200,000 from the Georgia Governor's Office of Planning and Budget (OPB).
Description: The City Recreation and Parks Department committed these funds to the Liberty Square Park Transformation Project. The park project as proposed will include park improvements, restrooms, picnic shelters and outdoor grills, playground equipment, recreation facilities, trailhead design and landscaping, as well as public-ADA compliant parking.

2022 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Planning Grant

Amount: $200,000 from the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT).
Description: The City Transportation Department committed these funds for to develop a comprehensive Safety Action Plan for Roswell. The plan will create a holistic, well-defined strategy to prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries citywide.

2022 Section 319(h) Georgia's Nonpoint Source Implementation Grant

Amount: $150,000 from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GDNR) - Environmental Protection Division (EPD).
Description: The City Environmental/Public Works Department committed these funds for Water Quality Improvements at Roswell City Hall. The project will address nonpoint sources of pollution by identifying and implementing the activities resulting in measurable water quality improvements to the impaired water source.

2022 Recycling and Waste Diversion Grant

Amount: $50,750 from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GDNR) - Environmental Protection Division (EPD)
Description: The City Environmental/Public Works Department committed these funds for the upgrade of the Roswell Recycling Center’s Polystyrene Densifier to a newer, more efficient model. The project will increase the City’s ability to recycle more polystyrene, reduce waste, and divert recoverable materials from the solid waste stream.

2023 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG)

Amount: $25,560 from the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)
Description: The City of Roswell Police Department committed these funds to replacing LIDAR equipment and purchasing new Event Data Recorder (EDR) Tool Kits.

2023 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)

Amount: $442,071 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
Description: The City committed these funds to the Roswell Housing Authority (RHA) redevelopment project. The RHA project will benefit low-income persons and families.

2024 Formula Funding Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG)

Amount: $996,484 from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT)
Description: The City of Roswell Transportation Department committed these funds to resurface portions of Canton Street from Woodstock Road to Fowler Avenue, Crabapple Road from Fowler Avenue to Crossville Road, and Old Alabama Road from Riverside Road to Holcomb Bridge Road.
