Mimosa Hall & Gardens
Mimosa Hall & Gardens is a nine-acre antebellum estate originally built in 1841 for John Dunwoody, a shareholder in the Roswell Manufacturing Company. That same year, a fire caused damage to the wooden walls, prompting it to be rebuilt in 1846 with brick walls. The 6,308 square-foot home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The area around the house still boasts 14 of its original 15 gardens on the property. These include a sunken garden, a reflecting pool with surrounding garden, a weeping tree garden, a rose garden, and a cutting garden.

About Mimosa Hall & Gardens
Mimosa Hall & Gardens is a nine-acre antebellum estate originally built in 1841 for John Dunwoody, a shareholder in the Roswell Manufacturing Company, in conjunction with Roswell's other historic homes of Barrington Hall, Bulloch Hall, and Smith Plantation. In 1918, Atlanta architect J. Neel Reid purchased the property, overseeing many of the changes and improvements of the home and grounds as seen today.
The home has undergone several owners over the years, but has retained its historical character and charm, making it a tremendous addition to the City's award-winning Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department.
In August 2017, Mimosa Hall & Gardens, along with some of the home's historic furniture, was sold to the City of Roswell for $2.95 Million.
