Who We Are
Established in 2009, The Friends of the Roswell Parks, Inc., a 501-c-3 organization is committed to providing resources which promote the advancement of parks and recreational opportunities in Roswell.

Ongoing Campaigns
Play It Forward
All Children of Roswell should be able to take advantage of our city’s Recreation, Parks, Historic & Cultural Affairs programming; in today’s economic times that is not always possible for everyone. Some families are facing the loss of a job or great reduction in income. The choice for their children to play sports, participate in gymnastics, dance, or learn to draw and paint takes a backseat to paying the mortgage or buying food. This situation is temporary for many families.

The Friends of Roswell Parks’ Play It Forward Program is an attempt to help bridge the gap between tough times and better times ahead.

100% of your gift will be used to help a child in need participate in the City of Roswell Recreation, Parks, Historic & Cultural Affairs Department’s programs.

“100” Campaign

The Friends of the Roswell Parks’ is excited to announce the “100 Campaign”. This program will help support Roswell’s new special needs camp this summer entitled Adaptive Friendship Summer Camp. We are asking those that can to donate $100 to offset the cost of this specialized summer experience.

The Adaptive Friendship Summer Camp will provide a traditional summer camp experience for children in the Roswell community with special needs. The Adaptive Friendship Summer Camp requires more specifically trained staff and equipment, so the fees are much higher than other summer camps. Through the “100 Campaign” we are endeavoring to make this fun and memorable experience more affordable for families that in many cases are already financially strained.

Bark for Your Park
The Friends of The Roswell Parks are excited to announce “Bark for Your Park”.

With the increased popularity of Dog Parks in Georgia, Friends of the Roswell Parks is taking donations for a new Dog Park to be conveniently located within Roswell Area Park. This Dog Park will be unique by being the only naturally shaded dog park in Roswell. This park improvement project will have minimal natural impact on the park; all trees will be retained during the build process. This Dog Park will also include both dog hydration and washing stations.

Walkways to Wellness
Our Walkways to Wellness Program is aimed at building support for activities at the new therapeutic pool facility adjacent to the Adult Recreation Center.

Our community-wide effort will sell 16” x 16” centerstones/cornerstones and 8” x 8” paver stones to create an expansive entrance walkway to the pool facility. The centerstones can be engraved with individual, family names or inspirational messages.

Extra funds raised will enhance the aquatic facility with a therapeutic whirlpool. Your financial support is critical to reaching our goal for the Walkways to Wellness campaign benefiting the Roswell pool facility project!!

Join with the Friends of the Roswell Parks and help us with all of these great campaigns. No amount is too small, and the rewards are huge!
