Our resurfacing list is based on the annual road rating program using MicroPaver Software. Some roads in good condition will be rejuvenated in order to extend their life in a cost-effective manner.

Grimes Bridge Road Corridor Improvement Project
The Grimes Bridge Road Corridor Improvement Project was initiated in response to resident concerns about traffic and safety issues that are anticipated to result of from the Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) State Route 400 (SR 400) Express Lanes project.

Historic Gateway Project
This GDOT project will remove the reversible lanes on the stretch of SR 9/South Atlanta Street that runs between SR 120 (Marietta Highway) and the bridge over the Chattahoochee River and construct a four-lane street that will accommodate all users.

Old Alabama Road Multi-Use Trail
The project will improve bicycle and pedestrian access to both Big Creek Park and to Northwood Elementary School. This project will also connect existing sidewalks into the upcoming Big Creek Parkway Phase 2 project, which will also include bicycle and pedestrian amenities.

Oxbo Road Realignment
This project has re-aligned Oxbo Road at Atlanta St/SR 9. The project was considered substantially complete in June and was opened to traffic on June 30, 2023. Final improvements are anticipated to be completed in late Summer 2023.
