Songbirds in the Meadow is Roswell's new family concert series. Enjoy live, educational music while nestled in the meadow of Leita Thompson Park. The intimate stage, located down the hill behind Art Center West, welcomes artists that introduce various genres to kids and families alike.
Songbirds in the Meadow is free to attend, but parking and attendance is limited. The concerts will be open until capacity is reached. Due to the stage being situated among sloping banks, blankets and towels for sitting are encouraged instead of chairs. Tents are not allowed. There is good dancing space around the stage for kids! Children must be supervised and accompanied by an adult. Concerts are about 60 minutes.

Dave Holland & Manga African Dance
When it comes to creating fun & memorable rhythm making experiences, no one does it better than Beatin' Path Rhythm Events! Through hands-on drumming, rhythm games, world folk songs and movement activities, the Beatin' Path team gets everyone, of all ages, into the action! Beatin' Path Rhythm Events drum circles have been featured at the High Museum, Flimp Festival, Girls & Boys Club, American Camp Association & Play at the Park Festival.
Manga African Dance was founded in 1990 by Ramatu Afegbua-Sabbatt with a mission to preserve, present and teach indigenous African cultural arts through dance, drums, fashion, drama, songs, African arts, and crafts, and more. The organization has a distinguished history in Atlanta, including a performance at the 1996 Olympics and partnerships with the Woodruff Arts Center and numerous local schools, senior centers, and organizations that serve underserved communities.

Nathalia
Originally from Barranquilla, Colombia, Nathalia's experience as a music therapist and early childhood music educator inspired her to use music as a tool for teaching her own children Spanish. Nathalia's unique bilingual approach to songwriting has made her a prominent voice in the world of children’s music. She has released four albums of entirely original content, all of which were co-produced and performed by notable Grammy Award winners. She has been a featured guest on Univision's 'Despierta America' and CBS's 'The Talk', and her music has been played on a number of parenting blogs, Sirius XM, and online radio stations. Nathalia’s South American heritage and passion for bilingual education has served as a major influence in the music she creates. From themes like space exploration to cruising down the Amazon River, her energetic songs will have families singing, dancing, and even learning a little Spanish, in this fun multicultural experience!

Aaron Nigel Smith
Grammy nominated producer and Billboard #1 Artist Aaron Nigel Smith promotes peace and builds community through his rootsy, funky, reggae music. People Magazine and USA today recognized his album, Welcome to the Village, as one of the best children's releases of the year and the CD received a Parents' Choice Award. His 2010 CD, Everyone Loves to Dance, also received a Parents' Choice Award and recognition in People Magazine. In 2009, he collaborated with Ziggy Marley the Bob Marley children's record, B is for Bob. In 2005, Aaron's debut CD release, Let's Pretend, won the NAPPA & IParenting Media Awards.
