As the project name implies, this is a complete street. A Complete Street is designed and operated to enable safe use and support mobility for all users, regardless of their age, abilities, or mode of transportation.

Specific improvements proposed include:

• Mini-roundabouts at River Lake Drive and Taimen Drive
• Median islands at intervals east of Taimen Drive to provide traffic calming
• Four-foot-wide bicycle lanes
• Ten-foot-wide vehicular lanes
• Curb and gutter with a five-foot-wide sidewalk along the north side of Riverside Road

The existing multi-use path along the south side of Riverside Road will remain and a ten-foot path will connect to it from Riverside Park to SR 400.

The Riverside Road corridor is heavily used by many people such as residents, regional commuters, local and regional recreational facility users, casual and competitive bicyclists, and pedestrians of all types. Riverside Road fronts the Chattahoochee River and is considered "Roswell's Beach." Through several public engagements and two different master-planning efforts, the citizens of Roswell have identified Riverside Road as a premier roadway facility and destination, requiring improvements to provide a safe, efficient, multi-modal connection through the City.
